<p class="ql-align-justify">1&2 Polyps are composed of cystic mucous glands with separating stroma showing dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells. There is focal ulceration of covering epithelium. No evidence of malignancy. However, a minority of these multiple lesions which could be syndromic may incur an increased risk of developing subsequent colonic carcinoma. Hence, follow up is advisable. </p>
<p>Colonic juvenile polyposis.</p>
<p>Two polyps were received:</p><p>1- polyp measured 1.8x1.5x1.5 cm, totally embedded.</p><p>2- polyp measured 1x0.8x0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Colonic polyps, endoscopic polypectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Juvenile inflammatory polyps (Juvenile polyposis)</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li><li><strong>Recommended for follow-up</strong></li></ul>
