Submitted biopsy shows mostly superficial mucosal fragments are finally ulcerated by malignant tumor composes of solid groups and sheets of large epithelial cells having hyperchromatic nuclei and eosinophilic cytoplasm with well-defined cell borders. Anaplasia and mitosis are moderate to marked. Energy non ulcerated areas show squamous cell carcinoma insitu.
One-month history of localized pain in the laryngeal area and painful swallowing (odynophagia), with endoscopic findings of chronic inflammation in the supraglottic region. Nasopharyngeal/ post-cricoid biopsy was done.
