Diagnosis
<p>Submitted biopsy shows inflamed mucosa with two of the fragments showing dysplastic and focally crowded tubular glands with pseudostratified lining by columnar cells having hyperchromatic nuclei and showing loss of mucigenic activity. These glands are confined to surface and upper part of lamina. Their infiltrative potential cannot be assessed as underlying lamina is not included.</p>
<p>Ampullary stricture . ? Inflammatory or neoplastic. </p>
<p>Fragments of collective size 5x3 mm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Ampullary lesion, endoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Superficial material, two fragments show dysplastic glands consistent with intraepithelial neoplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Material is inconclusive for invasive adenocarcinoma.</strong></li></ul>
