Hyperplasia of the mucosal associated lymphoid tissue which retain active and intact germinal centers with tingible body macrophages. The interfollicular area is infiltrated by lymphocytes and plasma cells. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy.
An incidental finding during an endoscopy prior to a thyroidectomy, involving a yellowish, compressible nasopharyngeal mass located over the midline with a free Rosenmüller fossa, in absence of epistaxis, weight loss, or headaches.
