Partially ulcerated rectal mucosa with related capillary proliferation and dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells admixed with large round atypical hyperchromatic cells. Such infiltrate is suspicious but inconclusive of underlying malignancy. Marker study (CD3, CD20, CD68 and CK) is recommended to establish definitive diagnosis.
