Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Endometrium shows hyperplastic endometrial glands, is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branched glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular.No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Some of the hyperplastic endometrium are seen embedded within deep myometrium. Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of malignancy.Cervix shows Nabothian cysts with mild endocervicitis with squamous metaplasia. Both ovaries shows cystic follicles and corpora albicans. Fallopian tubes are unremarkable. No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p>Diffuse adenomyosis with uterine fibroid.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Panhysterectomy specimen; uterus measured 9.5x7x4.5 cm with myometrial thickness of 2.3 cm and an endometrial thickness of 0.5 cm. Cervix is 3 cm long. On sectioning, the myometrium shows one fibroid mass measuring 2x1.8x1.5 cm, having solid, rubbery, and greyish cut section. The right ovary measured 2.5x1.8x1.5 cm and the left ovary measured 2.5x1.7x1.5 cm; both are grossly unremarkable. Both the right and left fallopian tubes measured 5 cm in length and are grossly unremarkable.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Panhysterectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Moderate simple endometrial hyperplasia, negative for atypia. </strong></li><li><strong>Deep adenomyosis. </strong></li><li><strong>Leiomyoma. </strong></li><li><strong>Nabothian cysts with mild endocervicitis with squamous metaplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Rt. and Lt. ovarian corpora albicans and cystic follicles. </strong></li><li><strong>Unremarkable fallopian tubes. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
