Diagnosis
<p>A benign well encapsulated tumor formed of small and large follicles full of colloid and lined by unremarkable cuboidal cells. Adjacent thyroid tissue is compressed. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy.</p>
<p>Anterior neck swelling, follicular neoplasm by FNAC.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Total thyroidectomy specimen was received as two thyroid lobes with intact capsules. The first lobe measured 5.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm and was almost entirely occupied by a grey nodule measured 5x4.3x4 cm. The second lobe measured 4 x 2 x 1.3 cm and revealed a fleshy cut surface.</p>
<p><strong><u>Thyroid gland, total thyroidectomy:</u></strong></p><ul><li> Follicular adenoma. </li><li>Negative for malignancy.</li></ul>
