<p>Rectal mucosa showing focal superficial erosion with mild reduction in the number of mucigenic cells and moderate infiltration by lymphocytes, plasma cells and many neutrophils. However, crypt abscesses are not identified. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells. </p>
<p>Rectal hyperemic mucosa with erosion. ? IBD</p>
<p>Fragments of collective size 6x5 mm. </p>
<p><strong><u>Rectum, endoscopic biopsy: </u></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Moderate chronic no specific proctitis with moderate inflammatory activity and focal superficial erosion. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for inflammatory bowel disease.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for atypia and malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
