Diagnosis
<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Sections show whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma entrapping endometrial glands with stromal cells around these glands. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ovarian cyst is lined by several layers of polygonal luteinized cells with focal interstitial hemorrhage into wall. Wall of cyst showing cystic follicles. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</li></ul>
<p>Menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea.</p>
<p>Two specimens were received:</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Myomectomy: well circumscibed rubbery whituch mass received into multiple fragments collectively measured??? With the largest measuring 3.5x3x2.7 cm.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Lt. ovarian cystectomy: received opened measuring 2.3x1.8x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Uterine mass, excision:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Adenomyoma</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em><u>Ovarian cystectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hemorrhagic luteal cyst. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
