Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Endometrium shows hyperplastic endometrial glands, is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branched glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Some of the hyperplastic endometrium are seen embedded within superficial myometrium. Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles entrapping hyper plastic endometrium and separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of malignancy.Cervix shows Nabothian cysts. Both ovaries shows cystic follicles and corpora albicans. Both ovaries show fibrotic cyst walls showing broad and sessile fibrotic projections covered by non-mucigenic low cells. Rest of cyst wall is lined by same type of cells. No evidence of epithelial piling up. Fallopian tubes are unremarkable. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Dysfunctional uterine bleeding.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Panhysterectomy specimen: The uterus measured 10.5 x 7.5 x 4.7 cm with a myometrial thickness of 2.3 cm and an endometrial thickness of 0.6 cm. The cervix measured 3 cm in length. On sectioning, the myometrium showed a small fibroid mass measuring 1 x 1 cm. The left ovary measured 2.5 x 1.9 x 1.5 cm, showing unilocular cyst measured 3x2.5 cm filled with yellow fluid. Right ovary measured 2.3x1.4x1 cm, showing unilocular cyst measured 1.5x1 cm. Both the right and left fallopian tubes measured 5 cm and were grossly unremarkable.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Panhysterectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Moderate simple endometrial hyperplasia, negative for atypia. </strong></li><li><strong>Superficial adenomyosis. </strong></li><li><strong>Adenomyoma</strong></li><li><strong>Cervical Nabothian cysts. </strong></li><li><strong>Rt. and Lt. Ovarian simple serous cysts.</strong></li><li><strong>Unremarkable fallopian tubes. </strong></li></ul>
