Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Fibrotic cyst devoid of epithelial lining with wall showing dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes, plasma cells and macrophages and capillary proliferation, with scattered lymphoid follicle formation and foci of suppuration. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. Picture is consistent with chronic suppurative inflammation (abscess). Please exclude origin from related anatomic structures (perforated viscus or tubal abscess) by carful correlation with intraoperative and imaging findings. Prepared smears are hemorrhagic, showing marked inflammatory changes, free of malignant cells.</p>
<p>Laparomoy with cystectomy.</p>
<p>One soft tissue fragment 1.5x1.2x0.8 cm.</p><p>Also received 8 ml of bloody fluid, from which 2 smears were prepaired and stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Laparoscopic cystectomy and aspiration cytology :</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Chronic suppurative inflammation (abscess), negative for malignancy.</strong></li><li><strong>Fluid is hemorrhagic with marked inflammatory changes, negative for malignant cells.</strong></li></ul>
