<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendicular lumen is full of neutrophils that extend into wall in between the mucosal associated lymphoid tissue together with lymphocytes and plasma cells. Such infiltrate extends to periappendicular fat amounting at abscess formation and firbosis. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of appendicular tumors.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendicectomy with severe adhesions status post drainage of appendicular abscess.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendix measured 3.3x 1 cm, with attached mesoappendix 1.2 cm, exhibited an ulcerated grey appearance, and had a wall thickness of 0.3 cm.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Appendicectomy: </u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Acute (suppurative) on top of chronic appendicitis with periappendicitis and abscess formation with fibrosis.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
