Sections reveal an infiltrating moderately differentiated (Grade 2) squamous cell carcinoma characterized by irregular nests of malignant squamous cells showing extensive keratinization, and mild nuclear pleomorphism with active mitosis. Separating stroma shows dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate. Associated squamous cell carcinoma insitu is seen involving surface epithelium is noted. No evidence of lymphovascular invasion or perineural perfection in received material. Tumor extends to excision margin.

Piece of soft tissue measuring 2.7 x 1.7 x 1 cm, partially covered by skin. Sectioning revealed an ulcerated mass measuring 2.5 x 1.6 cm with a greyish color. The mass extends grossly to excision margin.
