Smears are atrophic and shows unremarkable squamous cells, 20% intermediate and 80% parabasal. Background shows mixed bacterial flora but and no evidence of cytolysis. There is moderate increase in neutrophils. Scattered monilial characteristic yeast forms are seen. No evidence of viral or trichomonal infection. Smears are negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy (NILM).
Postcoital bleeding.
