<p class="ql-align-justify">Fragments of a benign fibro-osseous and osteocartilaginous lesion, consistent with an exostosis (osteochondroma). The biopsy shows trabeculae of mature cancellous bone enclosing a fibrovascular and fatty marrow stroma, covered in areas by a cap of hyaline cartilage exhibiting varying thickness and orderly chondrocyte maturation. No evidence of specific granulomas, significant cytologic atypia, or malignancy is identified.</p>
<p>Rt. index finger swelling.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Bone fragments collectively measured 0.8x0.7x0.3 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rt. index finger swelling, biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Consistent with osteochondroma. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
