Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">A benign well encapsulated tumor formed of small and large follicles full of colloid and lined by unremarkable cuboidal cells. Adjacent thyroid tissue is compressed. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy. </p>
<p>Neck swelling.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Rt. hemithyroidectomy specimen measured 6.5x4x3.5 cm. Thyroid capsule is intact.Serial sectioning revealed almost replacement by greyish nodule measured 6x4 cm. Also received separate thyroid tissue fragment measuring 4x1.5x1 cm, having fleshy cut section.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rt. Hemithyroidectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Follicular adenoma.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
