Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Endometrium shows hyperplastic endometrial glands, is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branched glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Some of the hyperplastic endometrium are seen embedded within superficial myometrium. Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles and separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Cervix shows Nabothian cysts with moderate endocervicitis.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Both ovaries shows cystic follicles and corpora albicans.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Rt. ovary shows hemorrhagic luteal cyst. Both ovaries show fibrotic cyst walls showing broad and sessile fibrotic projections covered by non-mucigenic low cells. Rest of cyst wall is lined by same type of cells. </p><p class="ql-align-justify">No evidence of epithelial piling up.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Fallopian tubes are unremarkable.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Abnormal uterine bleeding.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Panhysterectomy specimen:</p><p class="ql-align-justify">The uterus measured 9.5 x 7 x 4.5 cm with a myometrial thickness of 2.3 cm and an endometrial thickness of 0.6 cm. The cervix measured 3 cm in length. On sectioning, the myometrium showed a small fibroid mass measuring 0.6 cm. The left ovary measured 2.8 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm, showing three cysts, with the largest measuring 0.4 cm.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">The right ovary measured 3 x 2 x 1.3 cm, showing a cyst measuring 1 cm. Both the right and left fallopian tubes measured 5 cm and were grossly unremarkable.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Panhysterectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Moderate simple endometrial hyperplasia.</strong></li><li><strong>Superficial adenomyosis. </strong></li><li><strong>Leiomyoma</strong></li><li><strong>Cervical Nabothian cysts and moderate endocervicitis. </strong></li><li><strong>Rt. and Lt. Ovarian simple serous cysts.</strong></li><li><strong>Rt. hemorrhagic luteal cyst. </strong></li><li><strong>Unremarkable fallopian tubes. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for atypia and malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
