Sections revealed a benign exophytic skin lesion, formed of broad papillary formations of hyperplastic and acanthotic stratified squamous epithelium. Submucosa shows infiltration by few lymphocytes and plasma cells. Squamous cells show koilocytosis indicative of HPV infection. No evidence of atypia or malignancy and excision looks complete.
Rt. temple lesion of 6 months duration and increasing in size.
Skin elipse measured 1x0.6x0.5 cm, showing ulcerated area 0.6x0.5x0.2 cm. Surgical clearances ranged from 0.1 to 0.2 cm.
