<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show fragments of a cystic lesion composed of a variably thickened fibrous wall lined by synovial type epithelial lining. The wall consists of dense collagenous tissue with areas of prominent capillary proliferation are present within the stroma. Portions of adjacent mature adipose tissue are noted. No cellular atypia or malignancy is identified.</p>
<p>Rt. ankle cyst.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Received opened cyst wall into three fragments collectively measured 3.5x2.8x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rt. ankle cyst, excision:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Synovial cyst.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
