Microscopic Description

Diagnosis

T2 fracture site, biopsy, immunostaining:<ul><li>Scanty material, positive for malignant tumor of possible epithelial/metastatic nature .</li><li>Recommnded for metastatci work up and more ample biopsy for furrther subcalssifcations</li></ul> COMMENT:<ul><li>The tissue blocks are exhausted as the tumor area was very tiny and further immunohistochemical staining cannot be performed on the current material. </li><li>Positivity for CK suggest epithelial/metastatic nature of the tumor while negative results excluding lymphoid origin. </li><li>A larger biopsy specimen is required to complete the immunohistochemical panel and allow accurate classification/typing of the lesion.</li><li>Metastatic work up is recommnded for definining exact primary origin for such tumor.</li></ul>
