Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Some of the fragments showing benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. Other fragments show decidualized endometrial stroma with entrapped few proliferative glands. However, no evidence of chorionic villi, fetal membranes or other conception products. Such changes may be produced by irregular hormone therapy or a persistent corpus luteum. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Abnormal uterine bleeding associated with a history of a submural uterine myoma and thick endometrium.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 3x2.5x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Hysteroscopic biopsy and myomectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Irregular gland-stromal maturation with stromal pseudodecidualization.</strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Submucosal leiomyoma</strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for atypia and malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
