<p>Some of the submitted fragments show an adenomatous polyp formed of tubular and villous glands lined by columnar cells with reduced mucigenic activity and focal mild dysplasia. Other fragments show inflamed colonic mucosa. No evidence of malignancy in this biopsy.</p>
<p>Sigmoid colon mass.</p>
<p>Fragments of collective size 1x0.7 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Sigmoid colon, polyp, colonoscopic polypectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Tubulovillous adenomatous polyp with low grade dysplasia.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul><p><br></p><h5><strong><u>COMMENT:</u></strong></h5><h5><strong>Follow up is recommended since such lesion may be precancerous.</strong></h5>
