<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show fragments of a gastric epithelial neoplasm displaying a mixed tubulovillous architecture of crowded, branching glands and elongated villous fronds. The lining cells exhibit low-grade dysplasia, characterized by elongated, hyperchromatic, pseudostratified nuclei with preserved basal polarity. No cribriforming, high-grade atypia, or definite stromal invasion is observed. However, the biopsy is highly superficial, lacking the muscularis mucosae and submucosa necessary to definitively exclude a deeper invasive component.</p>
<p>Gastric cardia polypoidal mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>STOMACH, POLYPOIDAL MASS, ENDOSCOPIC BIOPSY:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Tubulovillous adenoma with low-grade dysplasia.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><h5 class="ql-align-justify"><strong><u>Comment</u></strong><u>:</u></h5><h5 class="ql-align-justify">The biopsy is superficial and fragmented. Complete endoscopic excision (EMR/ESD) is required to rule out focal high-grade dysplasia or underlying invasive adenocarcinoma across the entire mass.</h5>
