Sections show fragments of a gastric epithelial neoplasm displaying a mixed tubulovillous architecture of crowded, branching glands and elongated villous fronds. The lining cells exhibit low-grade dysplasia, characterized by elongated, hyperchromatic, pseudostratified nuclei with preserved basal polarity. No cribriforming, high-grade atypia, or definite stromal invasion is observed. However, the biopsy is highly superficial, lacking the muscularis mucosae and submucosa necessary to definitively exclude a deeper invasive component.
