Myometrial tumor is benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. Endometrium is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branching glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. Islands of these endometrial glands and stroma are seen entrapped superficial within myometrium. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Cervix shows Nabothian cysts and mild endocervicites. Ovaries are corpora albicans and cystic follicles. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy

Panhysterectomy specimen; uterus measures 9.5x6.5x5 cm with myometrial thickness 2.5 cm and endometrial thickness 0.5 cm, showing an intramural fibroid 1.7x1.5x1.3 cm. Cervix is 3 cm, long. Rt ovary measured 2.5x2x1.5 cm, grossly unremarkable. Left ovary measured 3x2x1.8 cm, showing three unilocular cysts up to 0.7 cm. Fallopian tubes are 5 cm long, each.
