<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show a benign tumor composed of mature adipocytes and uniform spindle cells within a variably myxoid to fibrous stroma containing characteristic thick, eosinophilic ropey collagen bundles. The spindle cells have pale cytoplasm and elongated nuclei without atypia, pleomorphism, or mitotic activity. No lipoblasts, necrosis, or malignancy are identified and excision looks complete.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Subcutaneous upper posterior cervical mas.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue mass measuring 5x3.5x2.5 cm, having greyish myxoid cut section.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Neck mass, excision biopsy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Spindle cell lipoma.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
