Rectosigmoid mass. ? Tumor or diverticulitis.
Two specimens were submitted: (1) Colonic segment 10 cm long showing a ulcerating infiltrative tumor 3x1.8x1.5 cm, located 6.3 cm and 0.7 cm from margins of excision. Tumor appears to reach pericolonic fat. Pericolonic fat shows small soft lymph nodes 0.2-0.6 cm.
(2) Appendicectomy specimen measures 4.5x0.8 cm with attached mesoappendix 4x1.8 cm
