Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Thyroid gland shows nodular hyperplasia where follicles are variable in size, full of thick colloid and lined by mature epithelium. There is gross follicular cystic change with surrounding fibrosis and focal infiltration by hemosiderin-laden histiocytes. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy. </p>
<p>Lt. thyroid huge cyst.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Lt thyroid lobe with intact capsule measured 4.5x3x2 cm, cut section is multinodular and showing a cyst measures 2x1.5 cm, filled with hemorrhagic viscid material.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Hemithyroidectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Nodular colloid hyperplasia with gross cystic change. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
