<p class="ql-align-justify">Submitted soft tissues and bony fragments show dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes, plasma cells, and macrophages with related capillary proliferation. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Left leg biopsy: History of prior trauma and a suspected recurrent acute-on-chronic osteomyelitis of the tibia, presenting with a thick-septated, peripherally enhancing intramedullary and periosteal collection associated with cortical sclerosis, a sequestrum, a cloaca, and an active sinus tract extending through the adjacent soft tissue to the skin.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue and bone fragments collectively measured 6x5x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Left leg biopsy;</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Chronic suppurative osteomyelitis extending to surrounding soft tissues.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
