Diagnosis
<p>Most of submitetd fragments showing inflamed colonic mucosa. Two fragmnets show underlying invasive carcinoma formed of irregular compact glands, groups and sheets of malignant large epithelial cells with lost mucigenic activity. Anaplasia and mitosis are marked. </p>
<p>Abdominal pain and bleeding per rectum. Colonoscopy: large fungating ulcerated mass, 15 cm from the anal verge.</p>
<p>Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rectal mass, 15 cm from anal verge, endoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, grade 3.</strong></li></ul>
