Rt. Excision and axillary clearance for breast cancer.
Fibrofatty tissue measured 20 x 10.5 x 7.5 cm, covered by skin ellipse measuring 13 x 5 cm. An attached axillary tail was identified and measured 8 x 7.5 x 6.5 cm. Sectioning revealed a solid, firm, creamy-colored mass located within the medial quadrant that measured 6 x 5 x 3 cm.
The mass was located 3 cm away from the deep margin. The other surgical margins were measured at 2.5 cm from the superior margin, 3 cm from the inferior margin, 8 cm from the medial margin, and 7 cm from the lateral margin. Fifteen axillary lymph nodes were dissected, with the largest lymph node measuring 1.5 cm.
