<p class="ql-align-justify">Smears are hemorrhagic showing scattered few small clusters of epithelial looking cells formed of enlarged hyperchromatic nuclei and abundant rather eosinophilic cytoplasm. These cells are seen admixed with mild number of inflammatory cells. </p>
<p>Mobile non tender neck swelling.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two smears were prepared and stained from submitted 1 mm bloody fluid.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Neck cyst, aspiration cytology</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Few atypical epithelial cells of undetermined nature with inflammatory changes.</strong></li><li><strong>Recommended for excision. </strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>COMMENT:</u></strong></p><h5>Due to scantiness of the epithelial cells and lack of data regarding anatomic relation of the cyst. Hence, determination of the exact nature is not possible. Compete excision is recommended to establish definitive diagnosis. </h5><p><br></p>
