Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Thyroid gland shows nodular hyperplasia where follicles are variable in size, full of thick colloid and lined by mature epithelium. There is gross follicular cystic change with surrounding fibrosis and focal infiltration by hemosiderin-laden histiocytes. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy. </p>
<p>Lt. thyroid nodule.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Lt. hemithyroidectomy specimen with an intact capsule measured 4.3x2.8x2.5 cm. Serial sectioning revealed almost replacement by cystic nodule measured 3.8x2.5 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Lt. Hemithyroidectomy</u></em></strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Nodular colloid hyperplasia with gross cystic change. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
