Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Intracavitary polyp and endometrium is non-secretory and hyperplastic, it is formed of mildly branching glands and lined by 1-2 layers of cells. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Stroma is cellular. Islands of these endometrial glands and stroma are seen entrapped superficial within myometrium. Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. Ovaries show cystic follicles and corpora albicans. Fallopian tubes and cervix are all unremarkable. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Abnormal uterine bleeding.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Panhysterectomy specimen; Uterus measured 7.5 x 5 x 4 cm with a 2.5 cm myometrium and 0.4 cm of endometrial thickening, containing a single fibroid mass measuring 0.7 cm and an intracavitary polyp measuring 2 x 1.3 cm. Cervix is 2.5 cm long. Right ovary measured 2.5 x 2 x 1 cm with multiple cysts, the largest measuring 0.5 cm. Left ovary measured 2.5 x 1.5 x 1 cm with three cysts, the largest measuring 0.5 cm. Right and left fallopian tubes each measured 5 cm in length.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Panhysterectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Mild simple endometrial hyperplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Hyperplastic endometrial polyp.</strong></li><li><strong>Superficial adenomyosis.</strong></li><li><strong>Leiomyoma.</strong></li><li><strong>Ovaries show cystic follicles and corpora albicans. </strong></li><li><strong>Fallopian tubes and cervix are unremarkable.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for atypia and malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
