The biopsy consists of fragmented and crushed biliary and duodenal-type mucosa showing extensive acute and chronic inflammation, mucosal ulceration and prominent subepithelial fibrosis. The inflammatory infiltrate is dense and composed of mature lymphocytes, plasma cells, and scattered neutrophils. No evidence of atypia or malignancy in submitted biopsy material.
