Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">1- Endometrium is hyperplastic and non-secretory. It is formed of moderately branching and focally crowded glands separated by cellular stroma and lined by 2-3 layers of cells. No evidence of atypia.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Polypoid lesion composed of hyperplastic endocervical mucous glands. Covering epithelium is intact and showing areas of squamous metaplasia. Stroma is fibrotic and vascular. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Vaginal discharge with small spotting bleeding. O/E: hypertrophic cervix.</p>
<p>Two biopsies were received</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Endometrial D & C biopsy: bloody soft tissue fragments collectively measured 3x2.5x0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Cervical biopsy: soft tissue fragments collectively measured 3x2.8x1.2 cm.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong><em><u>(1) Endometrial D&C biopsy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Moderate simple endometrial hyperplasia without atypia.</strong></li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong><em><u>(2) Cervical biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Hyperplastic endocervical polyp with squamous metaplasia. Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
