<p class="ql-align-justify">The tissue shows a polypoid mucosal projection composed of bland, proliferating biliary epithelium forming branched, papillary, and mildly cystically dilated tubular structures with fibroedematous cores, lacking dysplastic changes. The adjacent gallbladder wall exhibits mural fibrosis, smooth muscle hypertrophy, deep mucosal invaginations (Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses), and a patchy lymphoplasmacytic inflammatory infiltrate throughout the stroma. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. </p>
<p>Cholecystitis with polypoidal lesion.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Received gallbladder measuring 7.5x 2.5 cm, showing ulcerated mucosal surface, mucosal polypoid lesion measured 1x0.8 mm, and a thickened wall measuring up to 0.3 cm in thickness. </p>
<p><strong><em><u>Gallbladder, cholecystectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Chronic cholecystitis with inflamed hyperplastic polyp.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
