Gall bladder wall shows moderate fibrosis with focal mucosal ulceration and marked infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells that extends into the surrounding soft tissue. Glands exhibit focal cystic dilatation and appear to be entrapped within muscular coat (Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses). No evidence of atypia or malignancy.

Received gallbladder measuring 4x2 cm, showing ulcerated mucosal surface and a thickened wall measuring up to 0.4 cm in thickness, with multiple yellowish stones largest measured 0.4 cm.
