Sections from the largest rubbery mass revealed a benign well encapsulated tumor formed of proliferating breast ducts and stromal fibrocytes. The latter predominate in the lesion thus compressing ducts into slit-like structures. Other soft tissue fragments shows breast tissue with preserved normal lobular pattern with stromal fibrosis and adenosis. Cytologic features are unremarkable. No evidence of malignancy. Cystic dilatation of the ducts with apocrine metaplasia are also noted.
Lt. breast mass.
Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 5.8x4.5x1.5, largest measured 3x2.5x1.5 cm, with well circumscribed rubbery whitish mass measured 2.3x2 cm.
