H.pylori characteristic forms are not seen. No evidence of glandular metaplasia. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. Picture is consistent with GERD. </p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p>
<p>Lower esophageal junction ulcer.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.6 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Gastroesophageal Junction, Endoscopic Biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Active inflammatory ulceration, consistent with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). </strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
