Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Thyroid gland shows nodular hyperplasia where follicles are variable in size, full of thick colloid and lined by mature epithelium. There is focal follicular cystic change. Stroma shows fibrosis, interstitial hemorrhage and cholesterol crystals deposition. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy. </p>
<p>Thyroid swelling more on right side.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Total thyroidectomy specimen with intact capsule, composed of two lobes and an isthmus. The first lobe measured 5x2.7x2.5 cm. Isthmus measured 1x1 cm. The second lobe measured 3.5x1.5x1 cm. All having spongy multinodular cut sections. Also received multiple thyroid tissue fragments collectively measured 4x3x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Total thyroidectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Nodular colloid hyperplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
