Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show fragments of necrotic lamellar bone with numerous empty osteocytic lacunae. The marrow spaces contain fibrovascular granulation tissue with fibrosis as well as detached few viable groups of large malignant keratinized squamous cells exhibiting moderate anaplasia and mitosis. Picture is consistent with poor therapy residual/recurrent squamous cell carcinoma. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Known case of squamous cell carcinoma received radiotherapy, presented by Rt. mandibular lesion.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Bone fragment measured 1.7x1.2x1 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rt. Mandibular lesion, excision biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Recurrent/residual squamous cell carcinoma, grade 2. </strong></li></ul>
