<p class="ql-align-justify">Polypoid lesion formed of non-secretory hyperplastic endometrium, it is formed of branching glands exhibiting moderate cystic dilatation with focal crowdness. Glands are lined by 1-3 layers of cells. Stroma is compact with scattered thick walled blood vessels. No evidence of complex pattern, atypia or malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Also submitted is endometrial fragments, non-secretory endometrium formed of branching glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. Picture is consistent with anovulatory cycle. The observed changes represent endometrial architectural changes as a result of unopposed estrogenic stimulation in such anovulatory cycle. No evidence of endometritis.</p>
<p>Irregular vaginal bleeding.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 2.5x2x0.7 cm.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong><em><u>D & C biopsy with polypectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Hyperplastic endometrial polyp.</strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Disordered proliferative endometrium (anovulatory cycle). </strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for atypia. </strong></li></ul>
