Sections show subcutaneous fibrofatty tissue containing a fistulous sinus tract lined by necrotic debris and prominent granulation tissue. The surrounding soft tissue infiltrated with granulomas rich in epithelioid cells & few Langhans' giant cells. Many granulomas show evidence of secondary infection manifested by central neutrophilic accumulation. Picture is consistent with a tuberculous etiology. No evidence of malignancy and excision looks complete.
