Breast tissue with a preserved normal lobular architecture, stromal fibrosis, and adenosis. Cystic changes of the ducts are observed. The dominant cyst contains recent and organizing hemorrhage. Focal duct ectasia containing proteinaceous debris is noted associated with chronic periductal mastitis. Focal dilated ducts lined by benign apocrine metaplastic epithelium is also present. The epithelial cells show no cytologic atypia. No evidence of malignancy is identified.
