<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendicular lumen is full of neutrophils that extend into wall in between the mucosal associated lymphoid tissue together with lymphocytes and plasma cells. Such infiltrate extends to periappendicular fat. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of appendicular tumors.</p>
<p>Acute appendicitis.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendix measured cm long, with an attached mesoappendix 4.5x1.3 cm. Opening revealed ulcerated mucosal lining. The wall is thickened up to 0.4 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Appendectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Acute (suppurative) on top of chronic appendicitis with periappendicitis.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
