<p>Polyps are composed of cystic mucous glands with separating stroma showing dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells. There is focal ulceration of covering epithelium. No evidence of malignancy.</p><p><br></p>
<p>Two rectal polyps.</p>
<p>Received two polyps specimen, labeled <strong>"rectal polyps,"</strong> measuring 1.50x 1 cm. The cut surface is tan-white and soft. The specimen is submitted entirely for examination.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rectal, endoscopic polypectom</u></em><u>y:</u></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Juvenile inflammatory polyps. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
