<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections show gastric hyperplastic polyps composed of elongated, tortuous, and focally cystically dilated foveolar glands lined by reactive mucinous epithelium. The lamina propria is expanded by chronic inflammatory cells Helicobacter pylori organisms are identified within the surface mucus layer. No evidence of intestinal metaplasia, atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Gastric fundal polyps.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.5 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Stomach, endoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Inflamed hyperplastic polyp, H. pylori associated.</strong></li><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Negative for dysplasia or malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
