Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Malignant epithelial tumor involving the endometrium, composed predominantly of complex papillary and glandular structures with focal solid growth. The tumor cells exhibit moderate nuclear pleomorphism, hyperchromasia, conspicuous nucleoli, with active mitosis.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Immunostaining was done with appropriate positive and negative controls and revealed:</p><ul><li>Napsin A: Negative.</li><li>ER: Negative.</li><li>Vimentin: Negative.</li><li>CEA: Negative.</li><li>p16: Diffuse strong (block-type) positive.</li><li>p53: Wild-type expression.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">MMR proteins (MLH1, PMS2, MSH2, and MSH6): Retained nuclear expression (MMR proficient, pMMR).</li></ul>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Referred blocks for immunostaining of panhysterectomy done forr uterine cancer involving corpus uteri and cervix.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Fourteen referred paraffin block. One block was sectioned and stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Immunostaining of referred paraffin block of panhysterectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Serous adenocarcinoma, intermediate grade, p53 wild-type, MMR proficient (pMMR).</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Comment:</u></strong></p><h5 class="ql-align-justify">The immunophenotypic findings support the diagnosis of endometrial serous adenocarcinoma. The retained wild-type p53 expression represents a recognized molecular subtype. Correlation with the histomorphological findings and clinical staging is recommended.</h5>
