Pathologic Stage (AJCC 8th Edition):
Mixed invase carcinoma (NST) and invasive micropapillary carcinoma diagnosed by excision biopsy (pathology number 4907-2026 on 8 July 2027).
Received was a left breast quadrentectomy: fibrofatty tissue measuring 22 × 9.5 × 4 cm, partially covered by a 12 × 4 cm skin ellipse, with 7 × 5 cm of attached axillary tissue. Sectioning revealed a 5.8 cm surgical bed, adjacent to which was a grey-white fairly defined rubbery area measuring 1.5 × 1 × 1 cm, and another 3.5 × 3 cm rubbery area. Surgical clearances are: 2 cm from the deep margin, 4.5 cm from the superior margin, 3.5 cm from the inferior margin, 4 cm from the medial margin, and 5 cm from the lateral margin. Dissection of the axillary fat yielded 17 lymph nodes, the largest measuring 1.3 cm in diameter.
