<p class="ql-align-justify">Colonic wall show submucosal (Meissner's) and myenteric (Auerbach's) neural plexuses reveals the presence of morphologically normal average numbered ganglion cells. There is no evidence of hypertrophied nerve trunks. The overlying colonic mucosa exhibits preserved crypt architecture with no significant active inflammation, ulceration, or mucosal architectural distortion. No dysplasia or malignancy is identified.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">A 50-day-old infant with a history of recurrent bowel obstruction presenting with severe abdominal distention, fever, vomiting, and absolute constipation, who underwent loop colostomy and biopsy.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">One soft tissue fragment measured 1.5x1.3x0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p>
